Curated by Lowery Stokes Sims and Ana Elena Mallet, this group exhibition presented the work of 47 contemporary artists who explore the border as a physical reality, as a subject, and as a site for production. Largely focused on work executed in the last two decades, the exhibit also included objects by Chicano artists in California who came together in the 1970s and 1980s to address border issues.
